SUBMIT A NOMINATION
Have you noticed a woman in the Newton/North Newton area who gives freely of her time and talents to make our community a better place to live? Honor her by submitting a nomination for Newton Area Women of the Year.
This program recognizes the contributions of women who make a positive difference in the community in the areas of business, health care, children and families, education, religion, the arts, and volunteerism. Women who live or work in Newton or North Newton are eligible. Three women are honored each year.
Nominations are due February 24, 2020.
Recognition brunch
A brunch to honor the 2020 Women of the Year will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at the Wild Prairie Event Center, 1610 SE 3rd St, Newton, KS 67114. The honorees will receive an invitation with three complimentary tickets (for herself and two guests). The nominee of an honored woman will also receive a complimentary ticket. Other guests can by invited and will be asked to contribute to the brunch. The cost is $15 per person.

Judging
Winners are selected by a panel of judges based on the completed nomination form, letters of recommendation and other attachments. This is a thoughtful decision based upon guidelines and a rubric developed by former Women of the Year. We honor the traditions we have developed during the last 60+ years.
